Dear Mr. Cornwell. I’m a Belgian student, 17 years old, and I have thoroughly enjoyed your books over the last six years. In fact, it’s how I started to learn English. Next year, I hope to go to university to learn English, so first of all: thank you for determining such a huge and well-loved part of my life! If it wasn’t for your books, I would have missed out on so much. Now my reason for writing is the following: I’m doing a thesis about migration, and since Viking migration is a theme in your books, I wondered where you got your information? I can’t find anything about why they (the vikings) exactly migrated. I’m not asking you to help with my thesis, of course, but I just wondered what sources you have used (for the tales about Uthred). Thank you! Best regards, Hanne Provoost.
