Mr. Cornwell, First of all, I was not surprised at all to hear that The Warlord Chronicles were your favorite of the stories…and to the observant reader, I believe it comes across in the writing. However, I, in truth, and oddly enough, decided to write you to in order to beg you not to write a sequel to Gallows Thief. This book is a fantastic edition to your library, and admittedly, the only stand-alone book I’ve read outside of the other series. I remember reading it and coming away with the impression that it might be one of your best works, and struck by the oddity of finishing it without another book to read. I think it was this strange feeling that manipulated me into believing that you should not follow up on another. I think it is a brilliant, beautiful stand-alone work and should be left in piece. Are there any current plans on a second? (Your other fans will wish to hurt me if/when this appears on the site) J
