Alright Bernard. Hope your well. I’m a 20 year old from Cheshire and I study English lit at Chester University. I’m a passionate fan of the Sharpe films and the books. Sharpe has a special place in my heart as not only have I been brought up with the novels, but I also managed to introduce my grandfather to the chronology before he died. I have always thought it would be interesting to explore what Sharpe’s life was like before he was plunged into battle in India. In my opinion, it would be extremely insightful to see how The vivid descriptions of his life before he entered service translated from novel to TV. Are there any plans for a screenplay of Sharpe’s early days. How could I put myself forward for the role of the young Sharpe? Any advice gladly received? Apologies for previous incomplete form!!!!!
