I just read a shocking article about the Baker rifle. It stated that the British selected the Baker Rifle over better models through royal nepotism and corruption. That it was notoriously inaccurate. That the Brunswick Rifle which succeeded it was a quantum leap above it in technology…It shot a ball that looked like the planet “Saturn” out of a two groove rifle barrel. Bernard, I have believed in you and Rifleman Dodd. In the words of a Chicago White Sox fan in 1919, “Say it ain’t so Joe (=Bernard)” I think as the greatest Baker Rifle advocate on the planet you are bound to defend its reputation againts these “spurious charges.”
