Congratulations on the OBE, we met briefly at the Como house Readers Feast writers festival in Melbourne earlier this year where it was a pleasure to listen to you speak, I doubt you will remember me or my wife I recall the large numbers of people at the festival, however in case, we spoke of “Flashman” and that we both have roots in Essex, I grew up in Ongar.
