Dear Bernard With the relase of Sharpes Fury I had to ask if you will be touring in Chester at all????
And have you ever thought of writing about the Siege of Chester?? L
In regards to your post that stated that the next book after another Uthred will be on the Middle Ages. Taking a guess would it be Agincourt???
btw With the Archer novels have you ever considered any of the battles like Halidon Hill/Flodden against the Scots. It must be said that they seemed to be much tougher opponents than the French who until Joan of Arc came on the scene were as bad as England in the world cup. Is it not a danger of giving Thomas and co the easy option dramatically.
btw If you did start reading David Gemmell try Ghost King its worth a read and a good take on Uther Pendragon. Anyway look forward to Fury. Geraint
P.S in lots of your series there seems to be a trend where the main charachter always is seeking the approval of the general leader they fight for who is always harsh and cold to that said person. Is it based on real life at all (harsh boss at work??) Of you do not mind me asking???
