Mr. Cornwell, what was the most ferocious element serving in the British Army during the American Revolution, was it the kilted Scottish Highlanders, the Irish Catholic regiments or the German Hessians (mainly the Jagers)? I figured you might have the answer to that question that’s been pressing me forever. I would have to say the Irish, though I’m being biased because I am one (an Irishman!).
