Dear Mr. Cornwell I started reading the Sharpe series after I happened to run into the show on a PBS station while doing a little channel surfing. I loved the series and you made a fan and I immediately started by the books in the order they were written. I looked up more books by Bernard Cornwell and I have now pretty much gone through the gamut except for the Starbuck Chronicles. As I mentioned I am pretty much enamored of all your characters and in all honesty am very jealous of your talent and wish I had a just a small percentage of it. I am presently in the last stages of Death of Kings and without a doubt Uhtred has become my favorite character and it is my favorite historical time period. I was however a bit disappointed in what I considered a fairly short novel and I hate the thought of finishing it as fast as I have. Please give me more Uhtred soon and if possible give me more pages of one of the greatest characters ever conceived, by the best historical novelist in my lifetime. BTW Mr. Cornwell as much as I hate to admit it that lifetime will soon hit seventy.Gawwwwd As a reader since my early years (hell I remember skipping school to go to the library to read,LOL) so you can take this as giant compliment from a devoted fan. Regards, Ken Herrmann
