just finished simon scarrows ‘field of death’ it was noted by me and i believe others that acertain green jacketed major carrying a rifle with the first name of ‘richard’ is mentioned. famous at last eh ! i really enjoy all of your sharpe books having visited nearly all the portuguese and spanish battlefields i suppose it makes me something of a nerd but i am not i can assure you. ta muchly colin allen
