Mr Cornwell you have done it yet again! Death of Kings was an outstanding read!!! The Uhtred stories are by far my favourite you have written but also I think my most favourite series ever written by anyone!! I love history, especially history pre 1066 and your stories are excellent for providing a glimpse into this historic time in England’s past. I live close to some of the places included in your book – Cricklade, Fairford and Cirencester. And after doing a little more reading about the saxon times, I find that Aethalstan, ‘King of the English’ and son of Edward, is buried just down the road from me in Malmesbury! Why don’t they teach this history of the birth of England as we know it to kids in schools…!?! Still, thanks again, great book!! Neal.
