Mr Cornwell, I am sure that you are bombarded with messages of support from readers for your work and, in that, i am no exception. I have followed you from the start of your published career and, in many instances have re-read your books more than once. The sting however is in the tail ( or perhaps tale). Your recent books of Alfred and the hero Uhtred are difficult to read due to the constant need to refer to the notes on names. Perhaps I am in the minority but all of your former works were written and set in the present or in a period to which many of us can relate. Having loved all of your previous work i must confess that the current hero leaves me cold and the books are rarely finished. Please, Please go back to your previous skills!! Yours, Robert Munro.
