Dear Bernard, I’m so enjoying your Sharpe series. They are very skillfully written and evidence a great skill at character development and subtle discernments about human nature. Formulaic, perhaps, but comfortably familiar to return to. All in all, they are great fun, and greatly educational as well. I’m up to Sharpe’s Siege and very much regretting when I’ll be done with the series.
