Dear Mr. Cornwell, I’ve read The Grail Quest,The Saxon Stories and I am currently working on The Richard Sharpe series. They are the best books I’ve ever read. I’ve learned a lot about the fighting styles of the British army during the early 19th century. I do American Civil War reenacting here in California and I’ve noticed a lot of similarities between the fighting styles of the British and American armies. For example, the American army fought in two ranks like the British. Although, the light companies of the Napoleonic era were obsolete by the time of the U.S Civil War. This is most likely because of the mass production and advancement of rifle technology. If you ever need any help with something U.S civil War related just tell me. Thank you and keep up the great work. Sincerely, Andrew Hyde
