Dear Mr. Cornwell I am Brazilian, male, 55 years old and currently living in Hong Kong from where I sort of make some kind of business with China. For this reason I spend countless hours in airports, bus stations, long trips by train and bus inside China let alone my long trips to Brazil and other countries in Latin America at least four times a year. I used to utterly hate all this but I have to be candid and confess I am kind of liking it for it has given me the opportunity and the time to follow Richard Sharpe’s adventures. I am about to start reading Sharpe’s Fortress after Sharpe’s Tiger and Sharpe’s Triumph and I have a long way to go till the end. Besides the amusement itself it’s also a good way to learn History about this, let’s say, Napoleonic Era. Of course I am taking this opportunity to read also some History books about this period and the result has been very fulfilling and entertaining and, very important, my English has been improving too. There is no need to answer this message which only purpose is to tell you I am just enjoying your stories so much for so many reasons. My best regards Helio Buratto
