Dear Mr. Cornwell,
I have just finished reading your most recent book, The Pagan Lord, and wanted to take a moment to thank you. Once again you have transported me to another time and place, filling my time with anticipation for the next page. I have spent countless hours with your works and I consider every hour time well spent.
As a high school history teacher, Advanced Placement European and World History, I have recommended your books to many students who have complained to me about how boring their textbooks are. Many of them have returned to me exclaiming they never knew history books could be so exciting. One of my students recently said to me, after finishing Agincourt, “he writes the way you teach.” I consider that to be the finest compliment I have ever received.
So once again, thank you. I will remain a loyal reader, eagerly awaiting your next book, and heartily recommending you to future students.
