I am an avid reader of all your novels and have just read, and thoroughly enjoyed, The Pagan Lord. My wife and I have lived in Wolverhampton all our lives, not far from Tettenhall, and I was excited to learn from your book that such a major battle took place there. However, I believe that your interpretation of the name Wodnesfeld as Wednesbury is incorrect and should be Wednesfield a Wolverhampton suburb adjacent to Tettenhall. Having said that I must thank you for making me aware of the history of my area, something my school in Tettenhall failed to do.
