Dear Mr. Cornwell,
I just wanted to send you a quick note and tell you how amazing the Saxon Tales are. I am 35 years old and a huge reader. I have probably averaged two books a week ever since I was a little kid reading under my covers with the flashlight I snuck from my dad. Books have made me cry, laugh, and even look over my shoulder at night for the boogey man. But nothing comes close to the Saxon Tales. I have read some amazing books with amazing characters but they all come up short compared to Uhtred. What an amazing character. I just finished the Pagan Lord last night and let me tell you from page one to the last I held that book tighter than Uhtred holds Serpent-Breath in battle. Amazing!!!! Easily the best books I have ever read. EVER. I have never written another author before but after finishing the Pagan Lord I knew I had to write you today. Thank you for the adventure, the great characters, the rich settings, interesting dialogue and also thank you for the wonderful historical
information in your books that have inspired me to learn what I can from this period. You are my favorite author and I look forward to any book you put out but nothing compares to the Saxon Tales. Thanks for taking time out of your day to read this and thank you for sending me on a great ride with Uhtred.
