I just finished re reading the Sharpe series for the umpteenth time, and I thought that since you have given me so much pleasure over so many years, its only right that I should track you down and pass on my thanks for so many wonderful hours of reading pleasure.
I have read every single book you have ever written, and I have loved every one of them. The Grail Quest were brilliant, the Sharpe books and Arthur series equally so, but for me, the Alfred series has been my favourite over all because of your incredibly powerful writing style that always seems to gently mock the establishment (religion too) I was also nearly in tears when reading the end of The Pagan Lord when I thought you were going to kill off Uhtred!
Sorry to waffle on so much, but truly, thank you so much for all your books, and please – keep up the great work for many more years.
I can’t wait to read your next work, whatever it may be about!
