All my life I have been an avid reader, action subjects usually, but I like them to have a historical basis. I have read all of Wilbur Smiths novels, enjoying the novels themselves but also learning the history of South Africa. I thought I wouldn’t find any author who could compete with his research and style. By chance I picked up Sharpes Tiger from a charity shop, just to pass the time on my lunch break at work. I found it very hard to put down. I am now reading the series from the start chronologically, have just started Sharpe’s Enemy. Superb research, superbly written. I mean no insult but to my mind Wilbur Smith and your good self are the best I will ever have the privilege to read. So thank you for all your research, hard work and the pleasure you have given me in reading your novels.
