Dear Mr. Cornwell,
I’ve just finished reading The Empty Throne. I hope you have some influence over the production of the new BBC series, and that you might share my thinking. You see, I believe strongly that if the producers get that far they should snare Ian McShane to play the older Uhtred. Aside from his obvious skill, talent, Mr. McShane’s ability to slide into a role and make it his own would permit him to “become” our hero …convincingly.
