Mr. Cornwell,
I am an avid reader and to be honest I stumbled upon your Warrior Chronicles series and I was completely consumed. I first must thank you for these amazingly visual reads.
Just after finishing the Last Kingdom, I had recieved news from a DNA research project that i had contributed my dna to. This project has concluded that my family, the MacNeil’s of Barra, are not scottish. Which I was raised to be very proud of, the project concludes that we are of Norse descent. Upon finding this out I must admit I felt as though I had lost my “family identity”. I had researched about my family and now knew all of that research to be false, and not knowing much of the Norse history in the UK, became very confused about my identity. Now I must thank you for helping me to identify myself and my family identity, to another amazingly strong people. Your stories have inspired me to learn about my Norse ancestry. They truly were an amazing people, and I am proud to say that I am a MacNeil of Norse descent. So thank you for helping me through my identity crisis.
On a side note, please for the love of reading confirm for me that more of the tale of Uhtred is in the works. You have managed to captivate my mind and I look forward to my continued readings of your previous and continued writings!
