Dear Bernard,
For most of my adult life I have really struggled with literacy, especially reading. At one point I would not have believed that I would ever enjoy reading a book. Reading the Sharpe Series changed all that for me, I am now a much more confident reader and have worked my way through most of your published work.
I find your style of mixing historical facts with a twist of fiction really enjoyable, and have to say a huge thank you for doing something that my english teachers never achieved.
