Dear Mr Cornwell,
I have just finished my eighth consecutive Sharpe novel in just over a month. I finished my first story in Kerry whilst on holiday at Easter. The book I have just finished is Sharpe’s Eagle, which I believe is the first one you wrote, if I remember the introduction correctly.
It is my favourite story so far though I’m sure the next one I read will be just as good.
Thank you so much for inventing Sharpe. He is a legend. And so are you!
With very best wishes,
Owen
ps I read your Waterloo book last year and enjoyed it thoroughly.
