In a May 22nd posting, Kristen Reed asked about novels dealing with Robin Hood.  She should check out the Outlaw Chronicles by Angus Donald.  It is a very realistic look at what Robin Hood must have been like if he existed.  She also asked about novels dealing with the Norman Conquest.  I would refer her to the Hereward novels by James Wilde, dealing with his resistance to the Normans in the East Anglian fenlands, and also the Conquest series by James Aitcheson, dealing with the adventures of a Norman knight, Tancred a’ Dinant, during the conquest and subjagation of England.
