I am reading your book, “The Fort”, and like it very much. However, having been to Maine I find your maps a bit deceiving. I had to get out a map of Maine to get my bearings. In your big map you show the water as grey. In the insert map you show the land as grey. Of course everyone knows Boston is on the east coast so I figured it out.
You say Majabigwaduce is now Castine and Townsend is now Bucks Harbor. On the small insert map you show Mijabigwaduce as north of Townsend. In reality using today’s names, Castine (Mijabigwaduce) is way south of Bucks Harbor (Townsend). Neither are anywhere near Boston which is way south as is Portland (Falmouth).
