Dear Mr. Cornwell,
I have read every book that has your name on it. My 12 year old son swears like a British soldier from the Napoleonic Wars. He has all Sharpes DVD’s since he was 9.
You are with out a doubt my favorite writer. Just read Death of Kings awesome, as usual. But, I also just read ‘Fallen Angels’. That had your name on it. It was a huge disappointment. I enjoy your historical details, sorely lacking in this book. Although your typical descriptions of battles, shield walls and the stuff your warriors perpetrate on good and bad guys and gals is not gentle – the kinky vulgar sex and perversion was over the top. I know you make your bad guys worthy of what they get in the end, you didn’t have to go so far to the dark side.
I will have to be more careful when I reach for a Bernard Cornwell book in the future, too bad.
