Sir:
Just a word to say that I have read many of the Sharpe adventures and most of the Warrior chronicles with great enjoyment and profit. I am looking forward to finding one of yours I may have missed. I also note coincidentally that one of my early ancestors came from Cornwall and shipwrecked on Cape Cod about 1690–at Truro. Four others were on the Mayflower in 1620. My date of birth is 23 Feb 1944. Quite a few of my English ancestors were knights. I have also authored or co-authored nine history books–mostly about the Civil War (1861-65). While I am not a mystic, maybe there is some genetic reason I find your UK adventures most interesting. Anyway, best wishes for your future work and for another (American) Thanksgiving.
