I was introduced to your books 20 years ago through the Arthur trilogy. I still go back to it regularly. Your books have been my friends and companions ever since. I can’t begin to express the joy they’ve brought me. Thank you.
Ever since the fabulous Arthur trilogy I’ve wanted to ask you – beg you – please think about writing the definitive Robin Hood. I loved these tales as a child, from Richard Green and the Ladybird books to the rather staid “classics”. Since then, nothing has come near. A succession of second rate tv series and even worse films. PLEASE don’t dismiss the idea out of hand. You ARE the man to reinterpret the legend of Robin Hood and give it plausible historical context.
