My son-in-law, who is an archaeologist and of Viking descent, introduced me to your first book of the Saxon Stories about two years ago while visiting him and my daughter in Hawaii where they lived and worked. I have always been an avid reader and even taught literature at the high school level for a time. Your books in this series have brought great reading enjoyment for me in this time span.(I just finished Warriors of the Storm) I especially enjoy your running tongue in cheek (and not so tongue in cheek) commentaries about the Saints, sacred bones and relics and general workings of the Christian Church and its hierarchy as I spent five years in the seminary studying for the priesthood. I find myself laughing out loud numerous times when these passages occur. Keep Uhtred and his followers in good stead until he finally takes his beloved Bebbanburg back again. On to your your other books until Uhtred returns!
