Dear Mr. Cornwell,
A couple of years ago I found a copy of Gallows Thief in a local bookstore. Here in Brazil it was translated as “The Condemned”. I was looking for something nice to read and I am really glad I gave it a shot – that was a nice book. Then I looked into Arthur’s books and those really blew me away! I especially loved the second book and how you portrayed the personalities of Merlin and Lancelot. Derfel was a fantastic main character, although but I feel bad about the sad and lonely way his life ended in the story. Maybe someday we’ll get to see this trilogy as a blockbuster movie franchise? I sincerely hope so.
Anyway, I just wanted to express how much I appreciated these books – you did a formidable job there, sir. Looking forward to starting the Grail Quest soon!
