Mr. Cornwell,
I have spent many years reading ( and rereading) your novels. You have provided me with countless hours of entertainment. I thought that I had become used to your style of writing, but in the 10th book of your Saxon chronicles, you wrote one of the most profound concepts that I can recall. During Uhtred’s musings on how warriors recount battles’ glory but never speak of the horrors, I found myself utterly dumbfounded. It is, quite simply, one of the most profound and truthful paragraphs that I have read on the juxtaposition of war and glory. Thank you, so much, for what you have given to your fans. I cannot wait to read your next offering.
Regards,
Andy Neff
