Hello,
My favourite Sharp books and TV movies are the ones that deal with Badajoz. The sieges of Badajoz show that is was possible to kill a large number of men in a short period of time, and inflict great suffering on civilians.
WW1 generals have a well deserved reputation for killing and wounding huge numbers of men, but what is your general opinion of the calibre of Napoleonic generals?
Regards and thanks,
Adrian.
