Dear Mr. Cornwell,
I stumbled on to the Saxon Series when, feeling a junkie, I despaired finishing Game of Thrones and was hoping to find a similar series. There the comparison ends. I surrendered. As a devotee of your historically-based story telling, each book became such an adrenaline rush for me that when one was completed I felt I had come up from the depths gasping for air, hyperbole unintended. I own all the books in the series and have just finished The Pagan Lord and am beginning The Empty Throne. Thank you for keeping me from housework and other mundane chores of daily life. I’m quite sure if I didn’t have a husband to cook for I wouldn’t even do that, a small tribute for which I am sure he is grateful. You make me remember why I live and love to read.
Yours, most sincerely,
Helen Keaton
