Hello, Mr. Cornwell!

My name is Levi, and I’m from a small Brazilian city.

At the beginning of this message I apologize, because I do not have much confidence in my English and I ended up using an online translator, so this message is subject to some errors.

The purpose of this message is probably the same as the countless others that you often receive, but I was still forced to send it. I’ll tell you a little about myself, I’ll try not to go too long.

Since I was a child I always hated reading, and when I had access to the literature available at school, this hatred only increased (I thought it was very annoying). I have always loved cinema, which over time has also distanced me from reading. Many people have always told me about the benefits of reading, but I have always thought that it would never be something that would relate to me.

At the university I had problems, because I did not feel like reading the bibliographical references, which also left me very unmotivated about the course.

Until one day a teacher of mine ended up forgetting a book in a classroom, and asked me to keep it until the following week when we would meet again. The book was The Winter King.

I do not know why, but I decided to read it, and I just could not stop. At times I would leave the reading, but always came back to it. After finishing, I saw that it was a trilogy, and asked if my teacher owned the other two. He said no. So I had to resort to alternative ways to get the books, if you understand me (I’m sorry, but I do not have the money to buy them).

After finishing The Warlord Chronicles, I started reading The Saxon Stories, and again, I can’t stop reading, even when I have my eyes aching for reading on the computer screen. I do not know what kind of magic you use, but it’s one of the best.

Anyway, I want to thank you deeply for changing something in me, something that I honestly thought would never be changed. Someday I’ll have your books, and they’ll probably become some of the most precious things I’ll ever have.
