I have just finished Sharpe’s Revenge. I did not see the relationship and the child coming nor Jane’s betrayal. I was spellbound by the story. I feel like a fat kid in a bakery with a just two buns left – so sad to be coming to the end. I never thought I would have met such a character as Uthred but when my friend who introduced me to your books said: “You will like Sharpe more….” Never! He is right. I like Sharpe, Hawkeswill, Ducos, Harper, Fredrickson (even if he is named after a Vicar and I be one of your beloved Evangelical Pastors – thanks for the mention in Siege of Evangelicals by the way!) and all the other characters. I don’t know if these emails ever get to you but you have given me literally hundreds of hours of deep enjoyment as I have devoured each book; you have a rare gift; thank you for sharing it!
