Catching some of the hints(?) from the previous answers to who Sharpe’s father is, this is my attempt to cash in.
Do Sharpe and Brigadier Gerard share the same father?
The dates work out, a horse appears (from the riddle) and it draw’s a parallel of one on the French side and one on the British. Ironic, that with a twist of fate Sharpe could have been on the French side. (Take you out, put me in).
Probably wrong but had to have a go.
