What a sad night…..when I finish Sharpe’s Devil and I come to the end of the series. I never thought I would like a character more than Uthred but I do; with his sardonic smile. I have learned so many words reading these books! So I have read all Saxon Chrinicles and Sharpe series, 1352 and Sea Lord. I have your book on Waterloo but I also purchased the Warlord Chronicles in Hardback – why not – treat yourself Andy! You have a special gift sir; what other enjoyment costs pennies and last hours than reading a good book. I mourn for Richard and Patrick who I shall miss…..I look forward to meeting more. (I sit thinking was the Lord John Ravendale killed by peasants at Waterloo a descendant of the guy in Sea Lord…..and then I remember….it is just a story!) Many many m,any thanks. You are a genius. I and thousands more are indebted, you have dispensed joy – a rare gift!
