As a drama teacher for over 20 years (now a headteacher so don’t teach so much) I want to say a big thank you for the gift that is ‘Fools and Mortals’! I have read a great many of your books, including all the Uthred series which I love. Teaching Shakespeare is a joy, but it is often difficult to really give the students a feel for original performance conditions. This book does it brilliantly! I loved it; there is more in it about the tricks and intricacies of the theatre at the time than in many a reference book. This is going straight onto our A Level reading list. Thank you
