Hello, about a year ago I didn’t consider myself ‘a reader’ at all. I went to university and am perfectly literate but I just used to watch TV, play sport or listen to the radio rather than read fiction. My son did a school summer project on the local area (Benfleet, or as we now call it Beamfleot) and in helping him I discovered information about your Saxon Last Kingdom series and their references to our local area and your connection to Thundersley. Since then I have read the entire series, the War Lord series and am about to start the Holy Grail series. Thank you for reigniting my interest in fiction and British history, I now understand what it means when people say they have a book they cannot put down.
PS I still watch TV and love the adaption of your Saxon series. I guess new episodes are due to be broadcast soon ?
