Hello Mr. Cornwell,
I have been an avid reader of your books for the better part of the last 15 years. I don’t have a question for you. Instead, I just wanted to take a moment to thank you. I can trace my love of history directly back to opening my first Richard Sharpe book when I was all of 14 years old.
There was a time when I thought opening up a large, nonfiction tome on some long ago historical event seemed like the dullest task imaginable. I firmly believe that your characters, from Sharpe to Uhtred to Harper to Hooke, acted like a gateway drug for my academic curiosity. I imagine this is true for thousands of others as well, so I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude. Thank you very much. I’m just finishing up Warriors of the Storm, and am excited to see that I have two more Saxon Tales books in my near future!
I hope you have a great week.
