Let me first say how much I adore your writings and how, through them, you’ve helped inspire me to pursue my own career in writing.
I’m writing to ask your musings on publication/plot order. I’m working on a series that starts with two families and develops over the centuries through their subsequent descendants. What are your thoughts on plotting out and writing a series in chronological order vs writing the stories that come to you and piecing the series together as they come? Perhaps though not to the same extent as generations, you of course filled in blanks with Sharpe and I’m curious to hear what your feelings on the matter are, as I am yet undecided what path to pursue.
