I am unsure of why I am writing this other than to say thank you for the wonderful volume of work you have done over the past decades.
I read the Sharpe series avidly as a child, indeed I feel the books may have been more beneficial than my history lessons at school. As is often the case life moves on and gets in the way, reading and time seemed to be in short supply for many years!
I was delighted this year to learn more volumes had been added to the Sharpe saga and have begun rereading the books I knew and reading these new ones for the first time. I was also delighted to delve into the last kingdom stories, my affinity with the Danes and Norse runs deep in my East Coast roots!
You must get thanked all the time but honestly from the bottom of my heart thank you for making such wonderful tales happen, I’ve begun to pen my own series and if I can make one book anywhere near as readable as yours I will be a happy fellow!
