I hope this finds you well.
The purpose of my message is that I personally wanted to say thank you for your excellent ‘Last Kingdom’ series of books. I have just finished Lord of War and the ending to the story of how England was made and Uhtred of Bebbanburg was perfect!
Uhtred has been a massive part of my life these last few years and I have become a massive fan of your books. This time period is my favourite in British history and your books really made the period alive in my imagination.
I’m such a huge fan, that I’ve got a running joke with my partner that my first born son will be named Uhtred. Maybe it’ll have to be the dog but she doesn’t know that yet! ;)
All I wanted was to express my gratitude to you, the books have been excellent and have given me so much joy, trepidation and excitement over the years. Thank you so much for your efforts.
I’m sad that Uhtred’s story has run its course, but thankfully, I have the series to look forward to for hopefully many seasons to come.
