I just finished War Lord, and simply wanted to say ‘thank you’. I have so eagerly awaited each release in this wonderful story. As I turned the last page I reflected on how much entertainment you’ve provided me over the years between Uhtred, Richard Sharpe, Archer’s Tale, and assorted other works (including your great introductions to the Hornblower Folio reprints). It seemed ungracious to not drop you a line and express my gratitude for your talented writing, historical research, and characters that feel like old friends by the time the journey has ended.
