Dear Bernard
I know you are doing a Sharpe novel set after Waterloo. Given the Prussian atrocities to the French Civilian population and given he’s married to a French woman and lives in France, will it be hard for Sharpe to fight with them given that the majority of the fighting was done by the Prussians ? . I believe they even criticised the British for not getting more involved. Will you be touring the UK when it comes out?
Regards Germany
P.S For reading over the holiday period I recommend to books that might be of interest to you. One is called Neither Up Nor Down by Philip Ball on the 1790’s Flanders Campaign. If you ever decide to write about Sharpe first Campaign then that would be the one. The other is Marengo and Hohelinden by James Arnold on those 2 famous battles. Both great books and worth your time.
