Mr. Cornwell,
I am told that it was A.A. Milne who mused, via his character Winnie the Pooh, “How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” A fine summation for many things in life – friendships, lovers, and for me, the characters you have created and brought to life for your readers in the Last Kingdom series.
I have read, and re-read these books a few times, and I am currently reading War Lord as slowly as I can manage, to savor this one final story of Uhtred and Englaland.
I simply wanted to send along a heartfelt thank you.
