I have just finished ‘The War Lord’, and thus the series, with mixed feelings – I have enjoyed all the books, but am saddened that the series is at an end. Years ago I happened upon a version of the Battle of Brunanburh and always have remembered the last stanza which went ‘Never was slaughter more/In this island/ Of heroes overthrown/ By the sword’s edge/ Before this……’ So I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed all your books with only Stonehenge as an exception.Don’t stop writing!
