I describe your books as “mind candy” to my wife and have read several of the series you have written, no doubt as with many of your readers, The Last Kingdom series is my favorite. Somewhere I read that Uhtred was based on an ancestor of yours. In tracking my mother’s (who was a Palmer) genealogical line I discovered Uchtred the Bold in my line as well. Perhaps this explains our shared interest in the historic period. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment you have provided.
