Hi. Just a quick message to thankyou for the wonderful distraction that ‘The Last Kingdom’ books have given me through the Covid pandemic. I began reading the series in late November last year and have just turned the final page this afternoon. I am so glad that Lord Uhtred survived his final battle and hopefully enjoyed his later years in the peace and tranquility he richly deserved.
I also want to thank you for the history lesson on the battle of Brunanburh. This is something i will research in more detail now.
