Just a quick word to thank you so much for Uhtred and the Last Kingdom Series. I learned to count on especially Matt Bates who so skilfully brought your words to audible heights. Not lying that when I listened to the final epilogue that began with “I am Uhtred…”, I got a bit emotional. I am a firefighter and have learned to face a certain amount of danger, but I am not sure how helpful I would have been beside Uhtred of Bebbanburg in a shield wall. Thanks for allowing me to at least imagine what it would been like and for the entire decade of the series.
